Every character in the show dreams of the role of Romeo. For the audition, we set off on a quest for unusualportrayalsof the famous lover. Actors and amateurs, artists and bodybuilders perform monologues from tragedies or tell their own love stories; whilst deconstructing well known situations and waiting in vain for Juliette.The show’s ironic approach to the image of the Shakespearean loverin the collective imagination goes hand in hand with the actors’ auto-ironic aloofness.
