    23.06, 19:00 / 'Spreading peace' - hanging flags together

It is 80 years since the outbreak of World War II. The last witnesses are passing away, and with them the last living memory of how valuable peace really is. Together, we will use sewing machines to make 80 flags of peace in various shades of white. Afterwards, we will hang them on one of the buildings at Liberty Square. Join us in our performance project. The white flag is a symbol of capitulation. But we are not surrendering. We want peace, no matter how naive and impossible it seems.

‘Our goal is to clarify several things. We want to examine the paradigms that shape our being in the world, and to make visible certain norms that are imposed upon us in terms of society, culture, nation and species. The core of our activity consists of open activities for peace: workshops, performance art and interactive tours of Liberty Square, whose specific character provides a plane for debating and negotiating the Clarification content.' – Sprostowanie Group
