Polpo Motel is made up of Olga Mysłowska – vocalist and composer and Daniel Pigoński – keyboardist and composer. Their songs, in the cold wave/synth-pop style, are a clash of the austere sound of synthesisers, the husky sounds of vintage drum kits and hypnotising vocals. Among many inspirations, the musicians name electronic music of the 1980s, films by David Lynchand camp. Music critic MichałMendyk dubbed Polpo Motel “a mix of Kraftwerk and Antony and the Johnsons”.
